Richard Del Connor is a Philosopher Poet who usually performs a song on flute when he recites his poetry.  Clever rhymes and comical perspectives create a poetic memoir of his artistic, creative Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan lifestyle.

This Philosopher Poet in a Field of Dreams paperback book was written, performed and perfected while homeless in North Hollywood, living out of his Tacoma truck with his black cat named, Bear.  Each month Richard would perform a dozen different clubs, book stores and poetry open-mics.

Philosopher Poet in a Field of Dreams was published on May 4, 2019 at T.U.Theater in North Hollywood.  Richard Del Connor was the featured poet who created an entire show inspired by the Kent State Massacre that occurred on that same day, decades earlier.  The 20-minute poetry show is titled, “Kent State Murder Day.”  Richard would like to bring attention to this event of American history each year with a new performance of “Kent State Murder Day” show.

Richard used the library computers to edit and then publish this paperback at amazon.com.  The cover was created on the library computers by Richard Del Connor. Photography of Richard in the field by Oscar Barrera.

Fortunately this was the last year of Richard’s homelessness, but a testament to his willpower and determination to publish this book and the previous library publication of Masonic Kung Fu.
